Amy Wood-Roper M.A.
Hi! I’m Amy. I find great joy in the simple pleasures of sipping coffee on the porch, the adventure of traveling with my husband, and the companionship of hiking with my dog. In my free moments, I am also passionate about leading online Bible studies, engaging in research, spending time outdoors, and deepening my understanding of God's Word.
My journey as a Christian and student of the Bible spans over 35 years, and for more than 25 years, I've been dedicated to discipling, teaching, and counseling others.
Professionally, I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master's Degree in Education with a Specialization in Teaching and Learning. With 26 years of experience as a teacher, coach, counselor, and mentor to both young people and adults, I have also pursued ongoing education and training in areas such as SRA, DID, trauma and abuse, as well as completing ministry school in AL.
Over the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of leading Bible studies online and in churches globally. My experience also includes several years of crisis training (covering areas like suicide, depression, and addiction) gained through various churches in CA. Additionally, I enjoy the opportunity to speak at women's retreats nationwide.
But overall, my calling is from the Lord, which I believe supersedes anything a university or other experience could give me.

psalm 25:4
Throughout my adult life, I've been deeply involved in mission trips and ministry work across the world, focusing on sharing God's love with both children and adults. I've been fortunate to have numerous opportunities to offer counseling and share biblical teachings with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. My travels for this purpose have taken me throughout the United States and to various international locations, including England, Norway, Spain, France, Greece, Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize, Aruba, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas, the British and Virgin Islands, and Haiti.
For over 15 years, I actively participated in ministries in Los Angeles, CA (Skid Row), collaborating with several missions and churches. During this time, I provided counsel and support to individuals and families striving to rebuild their lives, maintain sobriety, and deepen their understanding of God. This hands-on experience allowed me to witness firsthand the transformative power of God in people's lives, bringing hope and lasting change. Additionally, I dedicated over 25 years to working with children, teenagers, and young adults, assisting them in navigating challenges such as family separation, identity struggles, and addiction.
My own journey of overcoming personal struggles with alcohol, eating issues, marital difficulties, depression, and anxiety has provided me with a unique empathy and understanding for those facing similar challenges. Through these experiences, I've learned that true and lasting freedom comes through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the truths found in God's Word. As it says, "the truth will make you free!"(Please see FAQ for more specific information.)
I am grateful to be able to serve you and to be a part of the journey God has for you. I look forward to playing a role in your spiritual growth, progress, and hope.
